The funeral took place at Auchencairn yesterday afternoon of Mr James McCrae, farmer, Airds of Balcary, who passed away on Monday.He was best known as a breeder of black-faced sheep and had farmed the Airds for 25 years.
He was born at Bargaly, Minnigaff, and started his farming career there before coming to Airds.
Mr McCrae was 55 years of age and is survived by Mrs McCrae and a family of four sons and three daughters.
