Missionary's Tragic Death

Mr Tom Dobson, a U F Church of Scotland missionary, who was born at Tongland 42 years ago, is reported as having been murdered by an arab at Jalna, Hyderabad, India, where he was stationed.

What particulars are available indicate that Mr Dobson was stabbed by an arab whom he was persuading to pay money owing to the local mission bank. A terrible wound over the eye was inflicted, and Mr Dobson died 4 days later.

Mr Dobson was a son of Mr John Dobson, who was for many years with the Messrs Gillone at the biscuit factory here. He is survived by a widow, a Glasgow lady, and two young children, who are residing in this country at present.
