Kirkcudbrightshire Advertiser, Friday 8th September 1922 (Extract).

Another link with the past has been severed with the death of Mr Maxwell Palmer, farmer, Lochpark, Kirkpatrick Durham. He was 76 years of age.

In the early part of his business life he tenanted Kirkandrews Mill, Borgue, and there carried on a successful milling and grain trade. He afterwards removed to the farm of Blackloch, near Gatehouse, and other farms which he tenanted were the Cairn, Girthon, and Newton, Anwoth, but during the last 17 years he had farmed Lochpark.

Deceased leaves a widow, three sons and two daughters.
