Kirkcudbrightshire Advertiser, Friday 3rd November 1922. (Extract).
By the death of Mr Robert Kimm, shoemaker, Ringford, one of the best known residenters in the district has passed away. He was in his 72nd year.
A native of Kirkpatrick Durham, he left that parish at a very early age and lived for some time in Borgue. He then spent some years in Kirkcudbright, where he took a keen interest in the Volunteer movement, before settling in Ringford, where he was in business for the long period of 43 years. Mrs Kimm predeceased him over a year ago, and he is survived by his son Alexander K Kimm, artist, Brampton, and two daughters.
