Mr John Greggan, one of the oldest residents of Fall River, Mass. says an American contemporary, died unexpectedly on Saturday 7th October at his home, 243 French Street, in his 93rd year.
He was born on 2nd November 1829 in Kirkcudbright, Scotland, coming to this country in 1852. In 1865 he married Margaret Gordon Shennan, Kirkcudbright. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs Elizabeth J McWhirr, whith whom he made his home; a son, James Greggan; and two garnd-daughters, Margaret A McWhirr, and Mrs Robert McWhirr.
