Death of Mr William Gibson, Little Kirkland. He was 59 years of age and had suffered serious illness since September.

Mr Gibson was a son of Robert Gibson, Cocklick, a family which has been connected with the district for over 100 years. He was in business as an ironmonger in Glasgow (Gibson and Dunn) and retired 4 or 5 years ago when he bought the farm of Little Kirkland.

During the was Mr Gibson lost one of his two sons, the other being at home. There is a married daughter in Glasgow.
